An AI teammate for your ops team
Mates gives everyone on your ops team an AI teammate, called a mate. Ask it in a channel and it updates the tracker, fills in the forms and posts what changed, so the whole team sees it. It works on your private cloud computer, using your apps and websites. Your teammates can ask it too, if you allow it.
Example
#opsExample
- Marco Slack@Iris the office move is now on the 14th. Can you update everything?
- IrisPriya, Marco asked me to update the move date. OK to go ahead?
- ✓Priya allows it.
- ✓Iris opens the tracker in Google Sheets, changes the move date in 3 rows and fills in the building access form.
- IrisMarco, the tracker shows the 14th and the access form is in. I posted this in Slack too.
Jobs it handles
- Updates trackers and spreadsheets
- Fills in forms on the websites you use
- Posts what changed in the channel
- Takes requests from teammates, once you allow it
- Follows the steps written in your channel docs
How approvals and permissions work
- When a teammate asks your mate for something, the request comes to you first.
- You have 24 hours to say yes. After that, the request expires and nothing happens.
- You decide how far your mate goes. It can draft the change for you, or make it once you approve.
- It only works in the channels you've added it to, like #ops.
- You set the triggers that start it. Nobody else sets them for you.
- Every change shows up in the thread, so the team knows what moved.
FAQ
Can my teammates ask my mate to do ops work?
Yes. Your mate only acts on their request if you've allowed it.
Where does my mate do the work?
On its own computer in the cloud, using your apps and websites. Only your passkey opens it. Admins can remove a seat, but they can't log in.
Will the team see what changed?
Yes. Your mate posts in the thread where it was asked, so anyone can read along and pick it up.
Give everyone on your team a mate.
We're letting teams in a few at a time. Leave your work email and we'll write when your seats are ready.
